Hello everyone!

First of all, I want to take time to say a little thank you for your ever-lasting support. As I have been doing it for the past, I will continuously keep maintaing the site with up-to-date softwares and information for the modding community.

Last night, I had an interview for Israeli Tech Magazine site www.gadgetim.co.il, and being interviewed by someone isn't something that I'm good at, but the interviewer, Eyal was such a gracious person, and the interview was completed successfully.

The site is in Hebrew, but worth checking it out even if you don't know the language, and the site will go live "sooner than you think". As my interview gets published, I will post the link to the interview as well.

Breakthrough RAZR Firmware R374_G_0E.41.C3R_A_reflash.shx

History has been made!

For the first time in Motorola history, the firmware for RAZR, R374_G_0E.41.C3R_A_reflash.shx comes with Multiple Letter Search for the phonebook.
On top of that, this firmware has increased the total free space by 2 MB totalling over 7 MB. This very historical firmware is being release exclusively via MotoX.us!

Reflash_mlp™: Reflash w/o LP

New concept, new reflash file without a LP by MotoX.

Unique reflash file without a language pack - Reflash_mlp™: Pure form of firmware upgrade without touching not only flex, but also language pack.

These reflash files are unique without a language pack, and now you can have a pure form of firmware upgrade without touching not only flex, but also whatever language pack you have on your phone. MotoX named it Reflash_mlp, and mlp stands for minus language pack.

Flexlash™: Full flex file in SHX format

Totally new concept of flexing your phone is here. Mutant flex files have just been released for the first time by MotoX.

This is a full flex file in SHX format created by MotoX. It was named Flexlash, Flex + Reflash = Flexlash. Firmware version is included as a part of the file name just to indicate the origin of the flex. However, my Flexlash doesn't contain reflash. By using Flexlash file, you will only upgrade flex part of the phone, not firmware.

SEEM discovery for Video Camera

The SEEMs for Video Recording has been discovered.
Today was my day off, so I was finally able to get some rest, clear my head, and now I'm confident to put my name, MotoX on these Video Recording SEEMs.

What does this mean?

Now you can flash with the latest 9AR Monster Pack, and flex on top of 9AR with i.e. Cingular flex that I created. You can have the best of both world--Video Recording capability & AMR feature.

Let's get to it!

1. SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 70 > bit 6 [Check]

2. SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 1D3 [01] - no bit manipulation with this SEEM. Just change the offset value to 01.

Extra SEEM: This one controls ONLY default option, NOT the function itself. If you want High Resolution to be default, SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 1D0 [01].
Even without this SEEM activated, you can still change the default opotion on your phone.
Go to Videos Menu > Videos setup > Resolution: Low (128 x 96) or High (176 x 144)

3. You have to edit mma menu file. You can use program like P2KMenuEditor to activate Video Camera menu under Multimedia.

One more thing that I have to tell you is, so far based on my experment, Video Recording function is also firmware specific--no guarantee you will have the function with older versions of firmware. But since I found the SEEMs for Vdeo Camera and we have the latest firmware 9AR, why even bother to go back to older versions. You can us many different flexes on top of 9AR firmware.

Now, I've done the hard work, and you guys can enjoy the best combination that your RAZR can ever have, up to date.

[UPDATE: April 29, 2005] Additional SEEMS found

I have found more SEEMs that cotrols Video menu options.
Unfortunately, after going thru so many SEEM testing, Insufficient Space Error bug has not been found. However, I found the most important SEEM that controls Video length option.

Here they are:

1. Video length: Maximum/MMS

SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 6E > bit 3 [Check]

Now with this option available on your phone, work around solution is to go to Message Setup > MMS Message Setup > Size Limit: NONE
This way, you can take video longer than 10 secs.

2. Resolution: High (176 x 144)/Low (128 x 96)

SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 7D > bit 7 [Check]

3. Recording sound: On/Off

SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 6E > bit 2 [Check]

SEEM Discovery for Moto Wap Browser Startup Animation

I've discovered yet another SEEM that controls Moto Wap Browser Startup Animation.

This is the spinning earth startup animation screen you see when you click the Browser button on your phone.

There are two types of Moto Wap Browser Startup Animation;

1. Color (stored in /a/mib_op_greet)
2. Black & White (hidden - can not be accessed with the system file manager programs)

And the SEEM that contorls the behavior of Moto Wap Browser Startup Animations is;

SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 49 > bit 5

SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 49 > bit 5 [Check] - Color Moto Wap Broswser Startup Animation
SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 49 > bit 5 [Uncheck] - B&W Moto Wap Broswser Startup Animation
(when SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 1D > bit 3 - Moto Startup Animation is on)

SEEM Discovery for Custom Startup Sound

Mystery solved!
Finally, I have discovered that infamous SEEM for activating Custom Startup Sound, once and for all.

As you know, known SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 22 [Set 01] for activating Custom Startup Sound has not worked properly up till now.
I found out that there is one more SEEM edit to make Custom Startup Sound to work properly 100%. To turn on Custom Startup Sound, both SEEMs have to be edited!

NEW SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 24 > bit 3 [Check]

Custom Stratup/Shutdown animation:

a. Create Custom startup/shutdown (custwakeup.gif & custgoodbye.gif) animation (176 x 220) and store them in /a/ folder.

b. Deactivate Moto startup animation - SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 1D > bit 3 [Uncheck]

c. Deactivate Moto shutdown animation - SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 31 > bit 0 [Uncheck]

d. Activate Custom startup (custwakeup.gif) animation - SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 23 [Set 01]

e. Activate Custom shutdown (custgoodbye.gif) animation - SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 46 > bit 0 [Check]

f. Splash screen (not an animated GIF):
For Blue (Purple) Flower Hellomoto Splash screen - SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 1C0 [Set 01]
For Hellomoto Splash screen - SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 1C0 [Set 00]
* Splash screen can not be turned off. As of now, this SEEM has not been discovered.

Custom Stratup/Shutdown sound:

a. Create Custom startup/shutdown (Cust_Start~up.mp3 & Power~down.mp3) sound and store them in /a/mobile/audio/ folder.

b. Activate Custom startup sound

SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 22 [Set 01]
SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 24 > bit 3 [Check] - new discovery!

c. Activate Custom shutdown sound - SEEM 004a_0001 > offset 24 [Set 01]
